We are located in Lawrenceville, Georgia and our shop boasts a beautiful classroom, a comfy sofa to sit down and browse through our great selection of books and magazines, hot coffee and cookies daily, along with plenty of interaction with our fabulous staff. The wide selection of fabric we have and continue to get in just adds to the attraction!
Our staff includes:
Sandy Stites who is our color expert! She makes fabric selection fun and creative. Besides cutting all our kits and the $5.00 block of the month, she also hosts the Breakfast Club where she provides fabulous food such as homemade blueberry muffins while teaching a new 2 1/2 inch strip pattern every month. The pattern du jour is “Eggs Benedict”.
Pam Kosiba is our resident paper piecing guru with a passion for brights and batiks. She is also great with the computer and takes care of our inventory system efficiently. She teaches any class we want - provided it can be made in bright colors – check out her new pajama class!!!
Wendy Amoth takes care of scheduling classes, following up with teachers and students, and making sure that our books, patterns and notions are always current and interesting. Call Wendy if you need a supply list, check the availability of a class or want to know what classes we currently offer!
Peggy McIntire can put together a complex queen size quilt in two days, but can also hammer nails, make striking changes to our displays and whip up samples in no time at all. She also happens to be an artist who paints beautiful murals.
Mita Chatterjee wears many hats, but it is her passion for quilting that brought about Patchwork Cottage and her goal is to introduce quilting to the next generation while reinforcing and strengthening skills in all quilt enthusiasts. She listens to the customer and tailors her classes, fabric selection and events to reflect customer needs.
Ana Rozer – our new recruit is cute, wears high heels and loves fabric!!! Her favorite line is “I may not have the answer but I will certainly find it out!”
Our Grand Opening was a Great Success!
Pat Sloan - nationally known teacher. author, and
fabric designer came for the occasion. She signed books, gave Demos
and we had a great time. Below are some images from the event.
